Abstract
A hemi-sulfate salt of the structure: to treat a host infected with hepatitis C, as well as pharmaceutical compositions and dosage forms, including solid dosage forms, thereof.
Claims15
A process for preparing Compound 2 comprising the steps of:
- (a) dissolving Compound 1 in an organic solvent;
- (b) adding a sufficient amount of H2SO4/solvent mixture to the solution of Compound 1 from step (a) to form a hemisulfate salt (Compound 2);
- (c) stirring the reaction until Compound 2 precipitates;
- and
- (d) filtering the Compound 2 precipitate and washing with an organic solvent or a mixture of organic solvents.
