Flooring apparatus and method of manufacture

A method of manufacturing a flooring apparatus, the method comprising:

• providing a member having a top surface with a perimeter;
• forming at least one cutout portion along a portion of the top surface of the member;
• depositing an adhesive on at least a portion of the cutout portion of the member;
• disposing a friction-increasing member adjacent to the adhesive to form at least a portion of the flooring apparatus;
• wherein at least a portion of the friction-increasing member is formed of a polymer material;
• and
• curing the adhesive to at least partially secure the friction-increasing member to the member.

A method of manufacturing a trailer, the method comprising:

• providing a member having a top surface;
• forming at least one cutout portion along a portion of the top surface of the member;
• depositing a self-leveling adhesive about at least a portion of the cutout portion;
• disposing a friction-increasing member on the self-leveling adhesive to secure the friction-increasing member to the member to form a flooring apparatus;
• and
• mechanically coupling at least a portion of the flooring apparatus to a portion of a frame, the frame having at least one wheel to form the trailer.

A trailer, comprising:

• at least one wheel;
• a frame having a first frame member, a second frame member positioned adjacent to the first frame member, and at least one support member that extends at least partially between a portion of the first frame member and a portion of the second frame member, the frame being mechanically coupled to the at least one wheel;
• a floor that includes a plurality of elongated members, the floor positioned above the frame, each of the respective plurality of elongated members includes a top surface;
• an adhesive positioned along a portion of the top surface of at least two elongated members of the floor;
• and
• a friction-increasing member at least partially coupled to at least a portion of the top surface of the plurality of elongated members by the adhesive positioned along a portion of the top surface of at least two elongated members of the floor.
