Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus comprising:

• a tank configured to store a liquid to be supplied to a print head;
• a first supply channel, which opens in the tank through a first supply port, configured to supply the liquid from the tank to the print head;
• a first replenishment channel, which opens in the tank through a first replenishment port, configured to replenish the tank with the liquid;
• a stirring unit in the tank, the stirring unit being configured to stir the liquid in the tank by rotating in a first rotation direction;
• a control unit configured to control operation of replenishing the tank with the liquid through the first replenishment channel without an instruction by a user;
• and
• a detecting unit configured to detect an amount of the liquid to be disposed in the tank,
• wherein, in the tank, a first distance from the first supply port to the first replenishment port in the first rotation direction is less than a second distance from the first replenishment port to the first supply port in the first rotation direction.
