Abstract
A medicament delivery system, including a medicament container and a delay mechanism that is activated prior to completion of medicament delivery from the medicament container. The delay mechanism automatically activates a subsystem or initiates an operation subsequent to the completion of the medicament delivery.
Claims7
A medicament delivery system comprising:
- a base for placement against a patient's skin;
- a medicament container fixedly disposed on the base and initially containing a dose of medicament for delivery;
- a needle for delivering the medicament from the medicament container to the patient, the needle being displaceable relative to the base;
- and
- a delay mechanism configured to, subsequent to initiation of the medicament delivery, automatically activate a subsystem subsequent to a predetermined time delay after activation of the delay mechanism.
