A novel maize variety designated X08R655 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08R655 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08R655 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X08R655, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08R655 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08R655 and methods of using maize variety X08R655 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08R655, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety 1PFHC43 with a second plant of variety 1PWMQ52, wherein representative seed of the varieties 1PFHC43 and 1PWMQ52 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Numbers 202212064 and 202301004, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08R655, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety 1PFHC43 with a second plant of variety 1PWMQ52, wherein representative seed of the varieties 1PFHC43 and 1PWMQ52 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Numbers 202212064 and 202301004, respectively, further comprising a transgene, wherein the transgene is introduced by backcrossing or genetic transformation into the variety 1PFHC43, the variety 1PWMQ52, or both varieties 1PFHC43 and 1PWMQ52, and wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises the transgene and otherwise comprises all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety X08R655 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08R655 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety 1PFHC43 with a second plant of variety 1PWMQ52, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties 1PFHC43 and 1PWMQ52 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Numbers 202212064 and 202301004, respectively.
