Control attachment configured to be coupled to a power adapter to control power provided to a load

A control attachment configured to be coupled to a power adapter to provide power to a load, the control attachment comprising:

• a first plurality of contact elements comprising a first contact element adapted to receive a power signal and a second contact element adapted to provide the power signal to a load comprising a fan by way of the power adapter;
• a first actuator configured to control a speed of the fan controlled by the control attachment;
• a control circuit coupled to the first actuator;
• and
• a wireless communication circuit coupled to the control circuit;
• wherein the wireless communication circuit generates wireless control signals in response to an actuation of the first actuator;
• and
• wherein the wireless control signals are based upon a setting of the first actuator to set the speed of the fan.

A method of implementing a control attachment configured to be coupled to a power adapter to control power provided to a load, the method comprising:

• providing a first contact element of a first plurality of contact elements adapted to receive power from the power adapter;
• configuring a first actuator to control a speed of a load comprising a fan controlled by the control attachment;
• coupling a control circuit to the first actuator;
• and
• coupling a wireless communication circuit to the control circuit;
• wherein wireless communication circuit generates wireless control signals in response to an actuation of the first actuator;
• and
• wherein the wireless control signals are based upon a setting of the first actuator to set the speed of the fan.
