A random access method, comprising:

• sending, by a network device, indication information to a terminal device, wherein the indication information is used for indicating at least one random access preamble in random access preambles detected by the network device, the random access preambles detected by the network device are at least part of a plurality of random access preambles sent by the terminal device, the at least one random access preamble comprises a first random access preamble, and the plurality of random access preambles correspond to a random access response receiving window.

A network device, comprising:

• a processor and a transceiver, wherein
• the transceiver is configured to send indication information to a terminal device, wherein the indication information is used for indicating at least one random access preamble in random access preambles detected by the network device, the random access preambles detected by the network device are at least part of a plurality of random access preambles sent by the terminal device, the at least one random access preamble comprises a first random access preamble, and the plurality of random access preambles correspond to a random access response receiving window.
