Network entity modeling

A method for network entity modeling, the method comprising:

• obtaining a set of network entities, a first member of the set of network entities hosting a first service and, when in operation, having a connection to a second member of the set of network entities hosting a second service;
• calculating a direct score for the first member of the set of network entities, the direct score based on first resources required to use the first service;
• calculating an aggregate score, the aggregate score based on second resources required to use the second service on the second member via the first member and the connection;
• providing a representation of the first member that includes the direct score and the aggregate score;
• and
• providing a user interface configured to:
• display a subset of network entities including the first member;
• display the direct score;
• display the aggregate score;
• and
• display a contribution of the first member to completion of a service set.

A method for network entity modeling, the method comprising:

• obtaining a set of network entities, a first member of the set of network entities hosting a first service and, when in operation, having a connection to a second member of the set of network entities hosting a second service;
• normalizing the first service to create a normalized first service;
• obtaining a service set that defines a complete network;
• calculating a direct score for the first member of the set of network entities, the direct score based on first resources required to use the first service;
• calculating an aggregate score, the aggregate score based on second resources required to use the second service on the second member via the first member and the connection;
• and
• providing a representation of the first member that includes the direct score and the aggregate score, wherein providing the representation of the first member includes providing an indication that either the first service or the second service is in the service set, and wherein providing the indication that the first service is in the service set includes comparing the normalized first service to members of the service set to find a match.
