Method and apparatus for receiving MU PPDU in wireless LAN system

A receiving station (STA) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, comprising:

• a memory;
• a transceiver;
• and
• a processor operatively coupled to the memory and the transceiver, wherein the processor is configured to:
• receive a multi-user (MU) physical protocol data unit (PPDU) from a transmitting STA;
• and
• decode the MU PPDU,
• wherein the MU PPDU includes a legacy-signal (L-SIG) field, a repeated legacy-signal (RL-SIG) field, a high efficiency-signal (HE-SIG) field, and an extremely high throughput-signal (EHT-SIG) field,
• wherein a first reserved bit of the L-SIG field includes information on that a first band in which the MU PPDU is transmitted is greater than 160 MHz,
• wherein a second reserved bit of the HE-SIG field includes information on a size of the first band or a second band in which the EHT-SIG field is transmitted, and
• wherein the receiving STA includes an HE STA and an EHT STA.

A method in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, the method comprising:

• generating, by a transmitting station (STA), a multi-user (MU) physical protocol data unit (PPDU);
• transmitting, by the transmitting STA, the MU PPDU to a receiving STA,
• wherein the MU PPDU includes a legacy-signal (L-SIG) field, a repeated legacy-signal (RL-SIG) field, a high efficiency-signal (HE-SIG) field, and an extremely high throughput-signal (EHT-SIG) field,
• wherein a first reserved bit of the L-SIG field includes information on that a first band in which the MU PPDU is transmitted is greater than 160 MHz,
• wherein a second reserved bit of the HE-SIG field includes information on a size of the first band or a second band in which the EHT-SIG field is transmitted, and
• wherein the receiving STA includes an HE STA and an EHT STA.
