Abstract
An integrated circuit includes: a processor; a receiver coupled to the processor; and memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores resource coordinator instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to: maintain a plurality of active secure sessions; identify a priority session trigger; and allocate receiver resources for incoming packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions based on the priority session trigger.
Claims23
An integrated circuit comprising:
- a processor;
- a shared memory pool configured to store Transport Layer Security (TLS) record packets;
- and
- a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- maintain a plurality of active secure sessions, wherein, during the plurality of active secure sessions, the shared memory pool is configured to allocate some resources of the shared memory pool to store received TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions;
- identify a priority session trigger;
- and
- allocate at least some of remaining resources of the shared memory pool to store incoming TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions based on the priority session trigger, wherein the priority session trigger is based on an incoming TLS record packet size and a session TLS record size.
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- a shared memory pool configured to store Transport Layer Security (TLS) record packets;
- and
- a network interface coupled to the processor, wherein the network interface is configured to:
- maintain a plurality of active secure sessions, wherein, during the plurality of active secure sessions, the shared memory pool is configured to allocate some resources of the shared memory pool to store received TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions;
- identify a priority session trigger;
- and
- allocate at least some of remaining resources of the shared memory pool to store incoming TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions based on the priority session trigger, wherein the priority session trigger is based on an incoming TLS record packet size and a session TLS record size.
A method comprising:
- maintaining, by an integrated circuit (IC) comprising a network interface and a shared memory pool for storing Transport Layer Security (TLS) record packets, a plurality of active secure sessions using the network interface;
- allocating, by the IC, some resources of the shared memory pool to store received TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions;
- identifying, by the IC, a priority session trigger;
- and
- allocating, by the IC, at least some of remaining resources of the shared memory pool to store incoming TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions based on the priority session trigger, wherein the priority session trigger is based on an incoming TLS record packet size and a session TLS record size.
An integrated circuit comprising:
- a processor;
- a shared memory pool configured to store Transport Layer Security (TLS) record packets;
- and
- a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- maintain a plurality of active secure sessions, wherein, during the plurality of active secure sessions, the shared memory pool is configured to allocate some resources of the shared memory pool to store received TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions;
- identify a priority session trigger;
- allocate at least some of remaining resources of the shared memory pool to store incoming TLS record packets related to the plurality of active secure sessions based on the priority session trigger;
- identify one of the plurality of active secure sessions as a priority session when a session record associated with the one of the plurality of active secure sessions is complete to within a threshold amount;
- and
- allocate at least some of the remaining resources of the shared memory pool to incoming TLS packets related to the priority session before allocating any of the remaining resources of the shared memory pool to incoming TLS packets related to others of the plurality of active secure sessions.
