Abstract
Assessing protection for storage resources, including: identifying a set of active data protection features for one or more storage resources; generating a data protection assessment based on the set of active data protection features; and reporting the data protection assessment.
Claims16
A method comprising:
- identifying a set of active data protection features for one or more storage resources of a storage system, the identifying including accessing at least one third-party backup provider that applies one or more active data protection features to the storage system;
- selecting a corresponding classification from a plurality of classifications for the one or more storage resources based on an amount of active data protection features included in the set of active data protection features;
- generating a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising a data protection assessment for the storage system based on the identified set of active data protection features and the corresponding classification for the one or more storage resources;
- and
- reporting the data protection assessment via the GUI.

- a memory;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, configured to:
- identify a set of active data protection features for one or more storage resources, the identifying including accessing at least one third-party backup provider that applies one or more active data protection features to the one or more storage resources;
- selecting a corresponding classification from a plurality of classifications for the one or more storage resources based on an amount of active data protection features included in the set of active data protection figures;
- generate a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising a data protection assessment for the storage system based on the identified set of active data protection features and the corresponding classification for the one or more storage resources;
- and
- report the data protection assessment via the GUI.
