A compound is disclosed that can be used as an anti-inflammatory agent, a cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor, a therapeutic agent for brain diseases, or a MRI contrast medium. The compound can have the structure represented by chemical formula 1.

A method for treating brain inflammation, the method comprising administering to a patient with brain inflammation a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising a compound having a structure represented by a following Chemical Formula 2, 3, or 4:
- to treat the brain inflammation in the subject, wherein the compound treats the brain inflammation in the subject.
A method for treating brain inflammation, the method comprising administering to a patient with brain inflammation a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising a compound having a structure represented by a following compound having a structure represented by a following Chemical Formula 1:
