Provided herein are methods of improving kidney function in a subject in need thereof.

A method of decreasing the occurrence of hematuria in a subject having biopsy-diagnosed IgA nephropathy, the method comprising administering to the subject from about 0.20 mg to about 1.5 mg of atrasentan, or an equivalent amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method of reducing IgA-immune complex deposition in a kidney of a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject from about mg to about 1.5 mg of atrasentan, or an equivalent amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
