Device for treating eye tissue using laser pulses

A method for treating eye tissue comprising:

• outputting, by a laser source, a pulsed laser beam with laser pulses;
• focusing, by a projection optical unit having a focal length, each of the laser pulses;
• deflecting, by a scanner device comprising a moveable mirror having a mirror surface, the focused laser pulses in at least one deflection direction;
• controlling, by a circuit, a plurality of linear drives, coupled to the moveable mirror, to perform translational movement, for treating a plurality of target points lying on a treatment line in the eye tissue;
• displacing, by the performed translational movement, a pivot point, lying on the mirror surface, to a particular point on an optical axis of the projection optical unit, the particular point on the optical axis having a distance, with respect to the focal length of the projection optical unit, equal to the distance between the particular point on the optical axis and a particular target point from the plurality of target points on the treatment line, making the focal length of the projection optical unit and the particular target point on the treatment line lie on a common circular arc around the particular point on the optical axis;
• rotating, by the performed translational movement, the moveable mirror around the pivot point displaced to the particular point on the optical axis, such that the movable mirror deflects the focused laser pulses in the at least one deflection direction of the particular target point on the treatment line;
• and
• repeating the displacing and the rotating for the plurality of target points lying on the treatment line in the eye tissue, without changing the focal length of the projection optical unit.

A computer program product comprising a non-transient computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer program code for controlling at least one processor of an ophthalmological device which comprises a laser source configured to output a laser beam with laser pulses, a projection optical unit having a focal length configured to focus projection of each of the laser pulses, a scanning device with a moveable mirror having a mirror surface configured to deflect the laser pulses focused by the projection optical unit in at least one deflection direction, whereby, for treating a plurality of target points lying on a treatment line in eye tissue, the computer program product is configured to control the at least one processor, such that the at least one processor controls a plurality of linear drives, coupled to the moveable mirror, to:

• displace, by translational movement of the plurality of linear drives, a pivot point, lying on the mirror surface, to a particular point on an optical axis of the projection optical unit, the particular point on the optical axis having a distance, with respect to the focal length of the projection optical unit, equal to the distance between the particular point on the optical axis and a particular target point from the plurality of target points on the treatment line, making the focal length of the projection optical unit and the particular target point on the treatment line lie on a common circular arc around the particular point on the optical axis;
• rotate, by translational movement of the plurality of linear drives, the moveable mirror around the pivot point displaced to the particular point on the optical axis, such that the movable mirror deflects the focused laser pulses in the at least one deflection direction of the particular target point on the treatment line;
• and
• repeat displacing and rotating for the plurality of target points lying on the treatment line in the eye tissue, without changing the focal length of the projection optical unit.
