Abstract
The application provides an information indication method, including generating a first frame, where the first frame includes address information of a station operating on a frequency band of 6 GHz; and transmitting the first frame on a 2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz frequency band.
Claims10
A communication method in a wireless local area network, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a first STA, a probe request frame, wherein the first STA and a second STA are in a multiple basic service set identifier BSSID set;
- and
- in response to a receiving address field (RA field) of the probe request frame including an individual address that is a media access control (MAC) address of the second STA, determining, by the first STA, that the first STA is allowed to respond to the probe request frame based on that the first STA and the second STA are in the multiple BSSID set.
A communication apparatus in a wireless local area network, comprising at least a processor and a memory, the memory stores code and is controlled by the processor to execute the following:
- receiving, as a first station (STA), a probe request frame, wherein the first STA and a second STA are in a multiple basic service set identifier (BSSID) set;
- and
- in response to a receiving address field (RA field) of the probe request frame including an individual address that is a media access control (MAC) address of the second STA, determining, as the first STA, that the first STA is allowed to respond to the probe request frame based on that the first STA and the second STA are in the multiple BSSID set.
