Information processing apparatus using cloud, control method therefor, storage medium storing control program therefor, and information processing system, that obtain and store additional print setting information not included in a tenant server that stores print setting information

A control method for an information processing apparatus communicable with an image processing apparatus, a tenant server that holds machine information including first information about the image processing apparatus, and a user terminal, and that includes a message application and a storage unit, the control method comprising:

• obtaining the first setting information from the image processing apparatus, in a state where the machine information is registered to the tenant server;
• storing the obtained first information to the tenant server;
• obtaining second setting information not included in the machine information, from the image processing apparatus, in the state where the machine information is registered to the tenant server;
• storing the obtained second setting information to the storage unit in association with the machine information;
• and
• controlling the image processing apparatus to print in cooperation with the message application using the machine information in response to a print request from the user terminal.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a control program executable by a computer to execute a control method for an information processing apparatus communicable with an image processing apparatus, a tenant server that holds machine information including first information about the image processing apparatus, and a user terminal, and that includes a message application and a storage unit, the control method comprising:

• obtaining the first setting information from the image processing apparatus, in a state where the machine information is registered to the tenant server;
• storing the obtained first information to the tenant server;
• obtaining second setting information not included in the machine information, from the image processing apparatus, in the state where the machine information is registered to the tenant server;
• storing the obtained second setting information to the storage unit in association with the machine information;
• and
• controlling the image processing apparatus to print in cooperation with the message application using the machine information in response to a print request from the user terminal.

An information processing system comprising:

• an image processing apparatus;
• a tenant server configured to hold machine information including first setting information about the image processing apparatus;
• a user terminal;
• and
• an information processing apparatus configured to communicate with the image processing apparatus, the tenant server, and the user terminal, the information processing apparatus comprising:
• a message application;
• a cooperation application configured to control the image processing apparatus to print in cooperation with the message application using the machine information in response to a print request from the user terminal;
• a storage unit;
• a memory device storing instructions;
• and
• at least one processor that executes the instructions to:
• obtain the first setting information from the image processing apparatus;
• store the obtained first setting information to the tenant server;
• obtain second setting information not included in the machine information from the image processing apparatus;
• and
• store the obtained second setting information obtained to the storage unit in association with the machine information.
