Digital asset management

A non-transitory machine-readable medium encoded with machine-executable instructions for processing a vehicle title, the machine-executable instructions when executed by a processor cause the processor to execute a method comprising:

• authenticating an authorization token associated with a user in a digital title management system;
• and
• in response to the authorization token being successfully authenticated:
• retrieving a private key from a private key vault to instantiate a plurality of smart contracts that commit a transaction associated with a registration of a physical asset with at least one issuance authority,
• deploying the plurality of smart contracts by digitally signing the plurality of smart contracts with a cryptographic private key not assigned to the user in response to establishing a proof of claim to the physical asset,
• invoking a service discovery that identifies availability of an on-line certified attesting peer nodes to attest to the transaction in accordance with proof of attestation policies associated with the physical asset, and
• executing the plurality of smart contracts on a title issuance authority blockchain network hosted by the at least one issuance authority using the proof of attestation policies.

A system for processing a vehicle title interfaced to a plurality of issuance authorities comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• a communication interface;
• and
• one or more processor communicatively coupled to the memory and the communication interface, wherein the one or more processor are collectively configured to:
• authenticate an authorization token associated with a user in a digital title management system;
• and
• retrieve, using the memory, a private key from a private key vault to instantiate a plurality of smart contracts that commit a transaction associated with a registration of a physical asset with the at least one issuance authority;
• deploy, using the communication interface, the plurality of smart contracts by digitally signing the plurality of smart contracts with a cryptographic private key not assigned to the user in response to establishing a proof of claim to the physical asset,
• invoke, using the communication interface, a service discovery that identifies availability of an on-line certified attesting peer nodes to attest to the transaction in accordance with proof of attestation policies associated with the physical asset, and
• execute, using the communication interface, the plurality of smart contracts on a title issuance authority blockchain network hosted by the at least one issuance authority using the proof of attestation policies.
