On-demand outages notification in a cloud environment

A non-transitory, computer-readable medium coupled to one or more processors and having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• acquiring data for network calls performed between a first internal web agent installed at a first network segment of a plurality of network segments of a first cloud platform and at least one of a second internal web agent installed at a second network segment of the first cloud platform and at least one external web entity running outside of the first cloud platform, wherein the first network segment and the second network segment are network segments of a first availability zone of the cloud platform;
• automatically generating structured data defining network connectivity status corresponding to the first network segment based on response results of performed network calls from the first internal web agent and to the first internal web agent as acquired from the data for the performed network calls;
• and
• dynamically determining, based on an evaluation of the structured data and by a health service, a current health status of network connectivity of the first cloud platform, wherein the current health status is allocated to at least one of (i) a particular network segment of the first cloud platform, (ii) a particular availability zone of the cloud platform, or (iii) the first cloud platform as a whole.

A system comprising

• at least one processor;
• and
• memory communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
• acquiring data for network calls performed between a first internal web agent installed at a first network segment of a plurality of network segments of a first cloud platform and at least one of a second internal web agent installed at a second network segment of the first cloud platform and at least one external web entity running outside of the first cloud platform, wherein the first network segment and the second network segment are network segments of a first availability zone of the cloud platform;
• automatically generating structured data defining network connectivity status corresponding to the first network segment based on response results of performed network calls from the first internal web agent and to the first internal web agent as acquired from the data for the performed network calls;
• and
• dynamically determining, based on an evaluation of the structured data and by a health service, a current health status of network connectivity of the first cloud platform, wherein the current health status is allocated to at least one of (i) a particular network segment of the first cloud platform, (ii) a particular availability zone of the cloud platform, or (iii) the first cloud platform as a whole.
