Abstract
Methods and devices are discussed. A device configured to operate in a network comprises communication circuitry and a transceiver.
Claims19
A device to operate in a network, the device comprising:
- circuitry to generate a gain table as part of an initialization, the gain table indicating gains allocated to subcarriers to transmit over a transmission line,
- the circuitry further to change at least one gain of the gain table of the transmission line in a mode wherein at least one transmission line transmits according to discontinuous operation,
- the circuitry further to employ the at least one gain to transmit a subcarrier in said mode wherein at least one other transmission line transmits according to discontinuous operation;
- and
- a transceiver to transmit the subcarriers with the at least one gain that is changed.

A method to operate in a network comprising:
- generating a gain table as part of an initialization, the gain table indicating gains allocated to subcarriers to transmit over a transmission line,
- changing at least one gain of the gain table of the transmission line in a mode wherein at least one transmission line transmits according to discontinuous operation,
- employing the at least one gain to transmit a subcarrier in said mode wherein at least one other transmission line transmits according to discontinuous operation;
- and
- transmitting the subcarriers with the at least one gain that is changed.
