Integrating logic services with a group communication service and a voice assistant service

A method comprising:

• receiving, at a group communication service configured to manage a communication group comprising a plurality of communication nodes, a first spoken message from a communication node in the communication group;
• processing the first spoken message, via the group communication service, to extract a phrase identifying a logic service;
• responsive to extracting the phrase, transferring the first spoken message from the group communication service to the logic service, including:
• translating, at the group communication service, a spoken command in the first spoken message into an input message in a format executable by the logic service;
• and
• transferring the input message to the logic service;
• receiving, at the group communication service from the logic service, status information for a networked device responsive to the first spoken message;
• and
• transmitting an audible announcement from group communication service to the plurality of communication nodes expressive of the status of the networked device.
