Electronic device and method for controlling same

An electronic device comprising:

• a communicator;
• and
• a processor configured to:
• control the communicator to receive a plurality of audio signals being obtained by a plurality of external electronic devices having microphones and being located at different place, respectively,
• determine at least one audio signal including a user speech uttered by a user, among the plurality of audio signals based on an intensity of the plurality of audio signals,
• perform speech recognition regarding an audio signal obtained from the determined audio signals,
• determine a location of the user based on a location of an external electronic device which transmits an audio signal for which the speech recognition is performed among the plurality of external electronic devices, and
• provide a service according to the speech recognition based on the determined location of the user.
