Control plan for paper, sheet, and box manufacturing systems

A method for controlling manufacturing of one or more paper-based products, the method comprising:

• generating a control plan associated with a roll of web product for at least one order from among a plurality of orders for the one or more paper-based products, wherein each order of the plurality of orders comprises one or more printed images for at least one paper-based product, wherein the control plan includes at least a set of first order instructions for forming one or more first paper-based products from the roll of web product for fulfilling a first order, wherein the set of first order instructions comprises at least printing instructions for controlling operation of at least one printer and editing instructions for controlling operation of at least one reel editor;
• providing the control plan to the at least one printer for controlling operation of the at least one printer, wherein the printing instructions of the set of first order instructions of the control plan are utilized to control operation of the at least one printer to cause a first printed image to print at a desired position on the roll of web product;
• and
• providing the control plan to the at least one reel editor for controlling operation of the at least one reel editor, wherein the editing instructions of the set of first order instructions of the control plan are utilized to control operation of the at least one reel editor to locate one or more portions of the roll of printed web product that are to be removed.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer program instructions that, when executed, cause at least one controller to:

• generate a control plan associated with a roll of web product for at least one order from among a plurality of orders for the one or more paper-based products, wherein each order of the plurality of orders comprises one or more printed images for at least one paper-based product, wherein the control plan includes at least a set of first order instructions for forming one or more first paper-based products from the roll of web product for fulfilling a first order, wherein the set of first order instructions comprises at least printing instructions for controlling operation of at least one printer and editing instructions for controlling operation of at least one reel editor;
• provide the control plan to the at least one printer for controlling operation of the at least one printer, wherein the printing instructions of the set of first order instructions of the control plan are utilized to control operation of the at least one printer to cause a first printed image to print at a desired position on the roll of web product;
• and
• provide the control plan to the at least one reel editor for controlling operation of the at least one reel editor, wherein the editing instructions of the set of first order instructions of the control plan are utilized to control operation of the at least one reel editor to locate one or more portions of the roll of printed web product that are to be removed.
