Abstract
An electronic device for aggregating electronic medical records, in which electronic medical records are aggregated from multiple electronic repositories and displayed as a single set of records. The multiple electronic repositories may store records for a particular patient using varying identifying/access information to facilitate anonymous access to the electronic medical records. Emergency medical services providers may be able to access medical records for a patient using the electronic device after being authenticated as a valid/licensed medical services provider.
Claims29
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by one or more processors, first information that indicates a first device is proximate to a second device, wherein the first device is signed into a user profile of a first person and the second device is signed into a user profile of a second person;
- in response to receiving the first information, transferring, by the one or more processors and to the second device, a medical record, the medical record including medical information associated with the first person;
- receiving, by the one or more processors, second information that includes or indicates a medical update corresponding to the medical record;
- in response to receiving the second information, obtaining, by the one or more processors, a confirmation that the first device is proximate to the second device;
- and
- in response to obtaining the confirmation that the first device is proximate to the second device, transferring, by the one or more processors and, to the second device, the medical update corresponding to the medical record.
A computer-implemented method using a computer system, the method comprising:
- determining, by the computer system, that a first device, signed into a user profile of a first person, is proximate to the computer system;
- in response to determining that the first device is proximate to the computer system, sending, from the computer system and to the first device, through a wireless connection between the computer system and the first device, a request from one or more other devices that are proximate to the computer system for a medical record corresponding to the user profile;
- receiving, by the computer system and from the first device, through the wireless connection between the computer system and the first device, the medical record;
- and
- transmitting, by the computer system, the medical record to the one or more other devices that are proximate to the computer system and that requested the medical record.
A system comprising:
- one or more computers;
- and
- one or more computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
- receiving first information that indicates a first device is proximate to a second device, wherein the first device is signed into a user profile of a first person and the second device is signed into a user profile of a second person;
- in response to receiving the first information;
- transferring to the second device, a medical record, the medical record including medical information associated with the first person;
- receiving second information that includes or indicates a medical update corresponding to the medical record;
- in response to receiving the second information, obtaining, by the one or more processors, a confirmation that the first device is proximate to the second device;
- and
- in response to obtaining the confirmation that the first device is proximate to the second device, transferring, by the one or more processors and to the second device, the medical update corresponding to the medical record.
