Compositions for enhancing hyperthermia therapy

A nutritional supplement for decreasing proliferation of a cancer cell being treated with a hyperthermia therapy protocol, comprising:

• an effective first amount of fish oil;
• and
• an effective second amount of selenium, wherein selenium is provided as selenium yeast,
• wherein the effective first amount of fish oil and the effective second amount of selenium provide a combined synergistic effect in decreasing proliferation of the cancer cell being treated with the hyperthermia therapy protocol that is greater than a summation of effects of the first effective amount of fish oil and the second effective amount of selenium when provided as monotherapies with the hyperthermia therapy protocol, or wherein
• the first effective amount of fish oil provides 12.5 μM to 25 μM fish oil to the cancer cell, the second effective amount of selenium provides 0.5 μg/mL selenium to the cancer cell, and the hyperthermia therapy protocol comprises a temperature of 39° C. to 41° C.
