Orthopedic stabilization device, kit, and method

A device comprising:

• an orthopedic button having:
• a base portion having a proximal surface, a distal surface, and one or more openings extending therethrough;
• a locking loop extending from the distal surface of the base portion in an axial direction and defining an opening, the locking loop having a width and a depth;
• and
• a locking member having an aperture sized to receive the locking loop such that the locking member is slidably engageable therewith, and wherein a width of the aperture is a maximum of 15% greater than the width of the locking loop and wherein a depth of the aperture is a maximum of 15% greater than the depth of the locking loop;
• and
• a suture, wherein at least a portion of the suture extends through the opening of the locking loop superior the locking member in the axial direction and at least a portion of the suture extends through the opening of the locking loop inferior the locking member in the axial direction such that a portion of the suture is frictionally retainable between the locking member and the locking loop when the portion of the suture extends through the opening.
