A novel maize variety designated X00R804CY and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X00R804CY with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X00R804CY through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X00R804CY, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X00R804CY are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X00R804CY and methods of using maize variety X00R804CY are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X00R804CY, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety 1PFQK50 with a second plant of variety PH471G, wherein representative seed of the varieties 1PFQK50 and PH471G have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202211020 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124817, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X00R804CY further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety 1PFQK50 with a second plant of variety PH471G, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, wherein representative seed of the varieties 1PFQK50 and PH471G have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202211020 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124817, respectively, and wherein the seed produces a plant having otherwise all the physiological and morphological characteristics of hybrid maize variety X00R804CY when grown under the same environmental conditions.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X00R804CY seed further comprising fewer than eight locus conversions, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety 1PFQK50 with a second plant of variety PH471G, representative seed of the varieties 1PFQK50 and PH471G having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202211020 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124817, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties 1PFQK50 and PH471G further comprises the fewer than eight locus conversions.
