Abstract
A method for managing an incoming call in a communication terminal is described, the incoming call having an associated call identifier. The method can comprise checking the routing of an outgoing call to the call identifier associated with the incoming call, and classifying the incoming call on the basis of the result of the checking of the routing, the incoming call being classified as a malicious incoming call if the checking of the routing reveals that the outgoing call is not able to be routed. The method can be used, for example, to detect malicious calls or spam.
Claims11
A method for managing an incoming call in a communication terminal, the communication terminal receiving the incoming call from a calling communication terminal, said incoming call having an associated call identifier identifying the calling communication terminal, wherein the method is implemented by a device for managing and comprises:
- checking a routing of an outgoing call to the call identifier associated with the incoming call, and
- classifying the incoming call on the basis of the result of the checking of the routing, the incoming call being classified as a malicious incoming call upon determining that the outgoing call is not able to be routed.
A device for managing an incoming call in a communication terminal, the communication terminal receiving the incoming call from a calling communication terminal, said incoming call having an associated call identifier identifying the calling communication terminal, the device comprising a processor configured to:
- check a routing of an outgoing call to the call identifier associated with the incoming call, and
- classify the incoming call on the basis of the result of the checking of the routing performed by the processor, the incoming call being classified as a malicious call upon a determination that the outgoing call is not able to be routed.
