Claims17
A method of treating traumatic brain injury in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of nanoparticles consisting essentially of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA);
- wherein the nanoparticles are free of any attached or embedded peptide, antigen, or other active agent;
- and the nanoparticles are administered intravenously.
A method of reducing secondary inflammatory damage in the brain after traumatic brain injury in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of nanoparticles consisting essentially of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA);
- wherein the nanoparticles are free of any attached or embedded peptide, antigen, or other active agent;
- and the nanoparticles are administered intravenously.
A method of limiting lesion volume in the brain after traumatic brain injury in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of nanoparticles consisting essentially of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA);
- wherein the nanoparticles are free of any attached or embedded peptide, antigen, or other active agent;
- and the nanoparticles are administered intravenously.
