Abstract
A rope is used as a combustible material in a heating system, the rope comprising or consisting of fibrous plant material. Also, a method of operating a heating system comprises feeding a combustible material to a combustion chamber of the heating system, the combustible material being a rope of fibrous plant material.

A use of a rope as a combustible material for heating in a heating system, said rope comprising or consisting of fibrous plant material, wherein the rope is fed mechanically into a combustion chamber of the heating system by a feeding device, wherein the rope is wound and the rope is fed into the combustion chamber of the heating system while unwinding the rope.
A method of operating a heating system, comprising feeding a combustible material to a combustion chamber of the heating system, said combustible material being a rope of fibrous plant material, wherein the rope is fed mechanically into a combustion chamber of the heating system by a feeding device, wherein the rope is wound and the rope is fed into the combustion chamber of the heating system while unwinding the rope.
