Server and method for providing connected service

A server for providing a connected service, the server comprising:

• a storage unit storing service subscription information including information of a subscriber subscribed to a service and apparatus information of the subscriber;
• a communication circuit receiving a terminal registration request from an image capturing apparatus for a vehicle;
• and
• a processor determining validity of the terminal registration request by comparing identification information corresponding to the terminal registration request with pre-stored service subscription information, and registering the image capturing apparatus for a vehicle as an apparatus provided with the service when it is determined that the terminal registration request is valid,
• wherein the processor controls to store received operation data in the storage unit, when operation data generated in an operation process of the registered image capturing apparatus for a vehicle is received through the communication circuit,
• when providing a motion image service, the processor,
• receives a motion image registration request from the registered image capturing apparatus through the communication circuit, wherein the motion image registration request includes image division criteria and information on total number of motion image files,
• transmits a response to the motion image registration request to the registered image capturing apparatus through the communication circuit,
• receives a motion image upload request from the registered image capturing apparatus through the communication circuit, wherein the motion image upload request includes an image file number,
• transmits a response to the motion image upload request to the registered image capturing apparatus through the communication circuit,
• wherein the motion image upload request and the response to the motion image upload request are repeatedly performed as many times as the number of images to be transmitted, and
• wherein the processor generates a motion image by combining the plurality of transmitted images.

A non-transitory computer readable recording storage medium containing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform a method for providing a connected service,

• the method comprising:
• storing service subscription information including information of a subscriber subscribed to a service and apparatus information of the subscriber;
• receiving a terminal registration request from an image capturing apparatus for a vehicle;
• determining validity of the terminal registration request by comparing identification information corresponding to the terminal registration request with pre-stored service subscription information;
• registering the image capturing apparatus for a vehicle as an apparatus supplied with a service when it is determined that the terminal registration request is valid;
• and
• receiving operation data generated in an operation process of the registered image capturing apparatus for a vehicle and storing the received operation data,
• wherein the receiving and storing the received operation data related to a motion image service includes:
• receiving a motion image registration request from the registered image capturing apparatus, wherein the motion image registration request includes image division criteria and information on total number of motion image files,
• transmitting a response to the motion image registration request to the registered image capturing apparatus,
• receiving a motion image upload request from the registered image capturing apparatus, wherein the motion image upload request includes an image file number,
• transmitting a response to the motion image upload request to the registered image capturing apparatus,
• wherein the motion image upload request and the response to the motion image upload request are repeatedly performed as many times as the number of images to be transmitted, and
• wherein the server generates a motion image by combining the plurality of transmitted images.
