Abstract
A method and system receives at a server a search request and processes the search request to determine a context of the search request, then determines, based on the context, a network route to an application server having the closest geographic proximity, with respect to the server, to the most relevant database associated with the context.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving a request from a user device, the request being associated with a location of the user device;
- forwarding the request to a proxy;
- analyzing the request to determine a context of the request;
- identifying an application server to service the request based on a combination of the context and a geographic proximity of the application server to the location of the user device;
- and
- in response to identifying the application server based on the context and the geographic proximity of the application server to the location of the user device, routing the request to the application server.

A system comprising:
- one or more hardware processors;
- and
- a storage device storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the one or more hardware processors to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a request from a user device, the request being associated with a location of the user device;
- forwarding the request to a proxy;
- analyzing the request to determine a context of the request;
- identifying an application server to service the request based on a combination of the context and a geographic proximity of the application server to the location of the user device;
- and
- in response to identifying the application server based on the context and the geographic proximity of the application server to the location of the user device, routing the request to the application server.
6 more elements
A non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a request from a user device, the request being associated with a location of the user device;
- forwarding the request to a proxy;
- analyzing the request to determine a context of the request;
- identifying an application server to service the request based on a combination of the context and a geographic proximity of the application server to the location of the user device;
- and
- in response to identifying the application server based on the context and the geographic proximity of the application server to the location of the user device, routing the request to the application server.
