Display device for driving personal input device and method thereof

A display device, comprising:

• a display panel;
• an input device connector;
• and
• a first processing unit, connected electrically to said display panel and said input device connector, driving a personal input device connected to said input device connector and receiving a first event signal generated by said personal input device via said input device connector;
• wherein said first processing unit receives a picture signal from an electronic device and said picture signal including graphical status of a cursor controlled by said personal input device;
• wherein said first processing unit processes said first event message of said personal input device to generate a first event parameter and updates the graphical status of the cursor in said picture signal according to said first event parameter, and said first processing unit outputs said updated picture signal to said display panel for displaying;
• wherein said first processing unit processes said first event message to generate a second event message and transmits said second event message to said electronic device;
• while said first event message received by said display device indicates a movement of said personal input device, said first processing unit generates said first event parameter indicating said movement of said personal input device and updates graphical position of said cursor in said display picture of said display device corresponding to said first event parameter in real-time.
