Glass filler and method for producing the same

A glass filler comprising glass having a composition comprising iron oxide, wherein

• for the content of the iron oxide in mass %, the following are satisfied:
• 0.005≤FeO≤0.30;
• and
• 0.01≤T-Fe2O3<0.50, wherein T-Fe2O3 represents total iron oxide calculated as Fe2O3, for the iron oxide in the composition, Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+) is 0.45 or more and 1.00 or less, wherein Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+) represents the proportion by mass of Fe2+ to total iron;
• the composition further comprises the following components, in mass %:
• 57≤SiO2≤65,
• 0≤B2O3≤2,
• 8≤Al2O3≤15,
• 1≤MgO≤5,
• 15≤CaO≤30, and
• 0≤(Li2O+Na2O+K2O)≤4;
• and
• the glass filler is a glass flake.

A glass filler comprising glass having a composition comprising iron oxide, wherein

• for the content of the iron oxide in mass %, the following are satisfied:
• 0.005≤FeO≤0.30;
• and
• 0.01≤T-Fe2O3<0.50, wherein T-Fe2O3 represents total iron oxide calculated as Fe2O3,
• for the iron oxide in the composition, Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+) is 0.45 or more and 1.00 or less, wherein Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+) represents the proportion by mass of Fe2+ to total iron;
• the composition further comprises the following components, in mass %:
• 65<SiO2≤70,
• 5≤Al2O3≤15,
• 1≤MgO≤10,
• 10≤CaO≤25, and
• 0≤(Li2O+Na2O+K2O)≤4;
• and
• the glass filler is a glass flake.

A glass filler comprising glass having a composition comprising iron oxide, wherein

• for the content of the iron oxide in mass %, the following are satisfied:
• 0.005≤FeO≤0.30;
• and
• 0.01≤T-Fe2O3≤0.50, wherein T-Fe2O3 represents total iron oxide calculated as Fe2O3,
• for the iron oxide in the composition, Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+) is 0.45 or more and 1.00 or less, wherein Fe2+/(Fe2++Fe3+) represents the proportion by mass of Fe2+ to total iron;
• the composition further comprises the following components, in mass %:
• 50≤SiO2≤75,
• 0≤B2O3≤2,
• 15≤Al2O3≤30,
• 5≤MgO≤25, and
• 0≤(Li2O+Na2O+K2O)≤4;
• and
• the glass filler is a glass flake.
