Method, kit and pharmaceutical compositions using an inhibitor of EGFR signaling for prevention or treatment of hearing loss are described.
Claims9
A method to prevent cisplatin-induced hearing loss comprising:
- orally administering to animal in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprised of:
- a sufficient amount of Dabrafenib to prevent hearing loss due to cisplatin treatment, wherein the sufficient amount of Dabrafenib is 100 mg/kg.
A method to prevent noise induced hearing loss comprising:
- orally administering to an animal in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprised of:
- a sufficient amount of Dabrafenib to prevent hearing loss due to a noise exposure, wherein the sufficient amount of Dabrafenib is 100 mg/kg twice daily.
A method to prevent noise induced hearing loss comprising:
- orally administering to an animal in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprised of:
- a sufficient amount of Dabrafenib to prevent hearing loss due to a noise exposure wherein the sufficient amount of Dabrafenib is 60 mg/kg twice daily and administering a sufficient amount of AZD5438.
