Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PH4DDZ and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant comprise crossing maize variety PH4DDZ with another maize plant are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PH4DDZ through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are provided. Hybrid maize seed, plants or plant parts are produced by crossing the variety PH4DDZ or a locus conversion of PH4DDZ with another maize variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part, or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH4DDZ, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202204010.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH4DDZ, representative seed of the maize variety PH4DDZ having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202204010, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises a locus conversion, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the locus conversion and otherwise comprises all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety PH4DDZ when grown under the same environmental conditions.
An F1 hybrid seed of PH4DDZ produced by crossing a plant or plant part of inbred maize variety PH4DDZ further comprising a transgene, representative seed of the inbred maize variety PH4DDZ having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202204010 with a different maize plant, wherein the transgene is inherited by the F1 hybrid seed, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred maize variety PH4DDZ by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
