Communication terminal that determines a connection request based advertising packet of a certain type and method thereof

A method performed by a communication terminal for wireless communication based on BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) with an image processing apparatus which switches a plurality of periods, including a first operational period, in which a connection request for GATT (Generic Attribute) communication is acceptable, for broadcasting an advertising packet whose type is a first type and a second operational period, in which a connection request for GATT communication is not acceptable, for broadcasting an advertising packet whose type is a second type, the method comprising:

• receiving a first advertising packet whose type is the first type and determining a connection request for GATT communication based on the received first advertising packet;
• and
• holding the determined connection request during the second operational period, and then transmitting, according to receiving a second advertising packet whose type is the first type the determined connection request to the image processing apparatus,
• wherein the first type advertising packet is an advertising packet used by first software that displays a list of a plurality of image processing apparatuses, and the second type advertising packet is an advertising packet used by second software, and
• wherein the GATT communication is used for a predetermined process, and the predetermined process is one of a Wi-Fi connection establishment process, a data transmission process, or a login process.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for a method performed by a communication terminal for wireless communication based on BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) with an image processing apparatus which switches a plurality of periods, including a first operational period, in which a connection request for GATT (Generic Attribute) communication is acceptable, for broadcasting an advertising packet whose type is a first type and a second operational period, in which a connection request for GATT communication is not acceptable, for broadcasting an advertising packet whose type is a second type, the method comprising:

• receiving a first advertising packet whose type is the first type and determining a connection request for GATT communication based on the received first advertising packet;
• and
• holding the determined connection request during the second operational period, and then transmitting, according to receiving a second advertising packet whose type is the first type, the determined connection request to the image processing apparatus,
• wherein the first type advertising packet is an advertising packet used by first software that displays a list of a plurality of image processing apparatuses, and the second type advertising packet is an advertising packet used by second software, and
• wherein the GATT communication is used for a predetermined process, and the predetermined process is one of a Wi-Fi connection establishment process, a data transmission process, or a login process.
