Image light generation module and image display device

An image light generation module comprising:

• a first panel configured to emit first image light including a red wavelength region, the first image light not having polarization characteristics;
• a second panel configured to emit second image light including a green wavelength region, the second image light not having polarization characteristics;
• a third panel configured to emit third image light including a blue wavelength region, the third image light not having polarization characteristics;
• and
• a color combining prism configured to emit combined light obtained by combining the first image light, the second image light, and the third image light, wherein
• the first panel includes a plurality of pixels that has a first aperture,
• the second panel includes a plurality of pixels that has a second aperture,
• the third panel includes a plurality of pixels that has a third aperture,
• an area of the first aperture of all the pixels provided on the first panel is the same,
• an area of the second aperture of all the pixels provided on the second panel is the same,
• an area of the third aperture of all the pixels provided on the third panel is the same,
• the area of the first aperture, the area of the second aperture, and the area of the third aperture are different from each other.
