Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer program products for processing responses from services (e.g., content providers) and managing content tailoring by services and/or recommender systems used by those services. Embodiments of the present invention can afford users with the ability to control the diversity of content in responses provided by services based one or more detected themes of the responses. Furthermore, embodiments of the present invention may be used to provide users with enriched responses from services, without needing cooperation of those services.
Claims18
A method, the method comprising:
- extracting text content from a first response, wherein the extracted text content includes themes and refinements, and determining diversity of the first response, wherein a diverse first response includes a requisite number of themes and refinements in the extracted text;
- in response to the first response not being diverse, identifying one or more lacking themes in the first response;
- querying one or more enrichment services for the one or more lacking themes;
- and
- in response to receiving content from the one or more enrichment services, modifying, by one or more computer processors, the first response to create a second response, wherein the second response includes the received content from the one or more enrichment services, resulting in an increase a requisite content diversity.
A computer program product, the computer program comprising:
- one or more computer readable storage media and program instructions stored on the one or more computer readable storage media, the program instructions comprising:
- extracting text content from a first response, wherein the extracted text content includes themes and refinements, and determining diversity of the first response, wherein a diverse first response includes a requisite number of themes and refinements in the extracted text;
- in response to the first response not being diverse, identifying one or more lacking themes in the first response;
- querying one or more enrichment services for the one or more lacking themes;
- and
- in response to receiving content from the one or more enrichment services, modifying, by one or more computer processors, the first response to create a second response, wherein the second response includes the received content from the one or more enrichment services, resulting in an increase a requisite content diversity.
A computer system, the computer system comprising:
- one or more computer processors;
- one or more computer readable storage media;
- program instructions stored on the computer readable media for execution by at least one of the one or more processors, the program instructions comprising:
- extracting text content from a first response, wherein the extracted text content includes themes and refinements, and determining diversity of the first response, wherein a diverse first response includes a requisite number of themes and refinements in the extracted text;
- in response to the first response not being diverse, identifying one or more lacking themes in the first response;
- querying one or more enrichment services for the one or more lacking themes;
- and
- in response to receiving content from the one or more enrichment services, modifying, by one or more computer processors, the first response to create a second response, wherein the second response includes the received content from the one or more enrichment services, resulting in an increase a requisite content diversity.
