Single contact scaling gesture

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium including instructions, which when executed by a processor of an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, cause the electronic device to perform a method comprising:

• displaying, on the touch-sensitive display, a user interface that includes a user interface object;
• while displaying the user interface that includes the user interface object, detecting, on the touch-sensitive display, a sequence of one or more inputs including touchdown of a first contact on the touch-sensitive display;
• and
• in response to detecting the sequence of one or more inputs:
• in accordance with a determination that a movement of the first contact within a first time threshold of the touchdown of the first contact is greater than a movement threshold, performing a drag operation in the user interface in accordance with the movement of the first contact;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that the sequence of one or more inputs includes liftoff of the first contact, without detecting movement of the first contact more than the movement threshold, and that the liftoff of the first contact is followed by touchdown of a second contact, performing a scaling operation that includes scaling the user interface object in the user interface in accordance with a movement of the second contact on the touch-sensitive display, wherein:
• the scaling operation is associated with a scaling center that is not based on a location of the touchdown of the first contact, and
• a portion of the user interface object at the scaling center remains fixed relative to the touch-sensitive display during the scaling of the user interface object.

An electronic device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• a touch-sensitive display;
• and
• memory storing instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors cause the electronic device to perform a method comprising:
• displaying, on the touch-sensitive display, a user interface that includes a user interface object;
• while displaying the user interface that includes the user interface object, detecting, on the touch-sensitive display, a sequence of one or more inputs including touchdown of a first contact on the touch-sensitive display;
• and
• in response to detecting the sequence of one or more inputs:
• in accordance with a determination that a movement of the first contact within a first time threshold of the touchdown of the first contact is greater than a movement threshold, performing a drag operation in the user interface in accordance with the movement of the first contact;
• in accordance with a determination that the sequence of one or more inputs includes liftoff of the first contact, without detecting movement of the first contact more than the movement threshold, and that the liftoff of the first contact is followed by touchdown of a second contact, performing a scaling operation that includes scaling the user interface object in the user interface in accordance with a movement of the second contact on the touch-sensitive display, wherein:
• the scaling operation is associated with a scaling center that is not based on a location of the touchdown of the first contact, and
• a portion of the user interface object at the scaling center remains fixed relative to the touch-sensitive display during the scaling of the user interface object.
