Abstract
The present application discloses a method for treating microbial infection using an antimicrobial composition comprises antimicrobial peptide which contains at least one VGFPV motif.
Claims8
A method of treating a gram positive or gram negative bacterial infection, comprising:
- administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of an antimicrobial peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 3 and a cell penetrating peptide (CPP) domain.
A method of treating a gram positive or gram negative bacterial infection, comprising:
- administering to a subject in need of such treatment an effective amount of an in vivo expression vector that encodes an antimicrobial peptide comprising the amino sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 3 and a cell penetrating peptide (CPP) domain,
- wherein said in vivo expression vector expresses said antimicrobial peptide in said subject.
