Abstract
Disclosed herein are hydroxyethylquercetin glycosides, including compounds of Structural Formulas I, II, III and IV. The compounds disclosed are useful for inhibiting norepinephrine metabolism and treating antenatal and postnatal depression in subjects in need thereof.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising from about 5% to about 95% weight/weight of a hydroxyethylquercetin-O-glucuronide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising from about 5% to about 95% weight/weight of a hydroxyethylquercetin-5-O-glucuronide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising from about 5% to about 95% weight/weight of a hydroxyethylquercetin-3′-O-glucuronide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising from about 5% to about 95% weight/weight of a hydroxyethylquercetin-4′-O-glucuronide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising from about 5% to about 95% weight/weight of a monohydroxyethylquercetin-O-glucuronide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
