Abstract
A food recycler can include a case having a case volume between 8.79 liters and 35 liters, a control system, a user interface in electrical communication with the control system, and a bucket being configured with a bucket volume, wherein a ratio of the bucket volume to the case volume is between 0.0717 and 0.2857. The recycler can include a motor in communication with the control system, the motor being configured adjacent at least in part to the bucket, a gearbox configured below the bucket and in mechanical communication with the motor, a filter system and a drying component configured to remove water from waste food items.
Claims29
A food recycler, comprising:
- a housing having a housing volume;
- a motor in electrical communication with a controller;
- a grinding mechanism in mechanical communication with the motor;
- a bucket having a bucket volume, the bucket being removable and configured with the grinding mechanism contained therein such that waste food placed in the bucket remains in the bucket during a food recycling process, wherein a ratio of the bucket volume to the housing volume is between 0.0717 and 0.2857, inclusive, and wherein the motor is configured within the housing adjacent, at least in part, to the bucket;
- and
- a drying component configured to remove water from the waste food placed within the bucket.
A food recycler comprising:
- a case having a case volume between 8.79 liters and 35 liters;
- a control system;
- a user interface in electrical communication with the control system, wherein the user interface being usable to cause the control system to initiate a food recycling process;
- a bucket being removable from the food recycler and configured with a bucket volume, wherein a ratio of the bucket volume to the case volume is between 0.0717 and 0.2857 and wherein food waste placed in the bucket remains in the bucket throughout the food recycling process;
- a motor in communication with the control system, the motor being configured adjacent at least in part to the bucket;
- a gearbox configured below the bucket and in mechanical communication with the motor;
- a filter system;
- and
- a drying component configured to remove water from the waste food.
A food recycler comprising:
- a case having a case volume between 8.79 liters and 35 liters;
- a control system;
- a bucket being configured with a bucket volume, wherein a ratio of the bucket volume to the case volume of the case is between 0.0717 and 0.2857 and wherein the bucket is configured to retain food waste placed in the bucket throughout a food recycling process;
- a lid configured to pivot to enable access to the bucket;
- a motor in communication with the control system, the motor being configured adjacent at least in part to the bucket;
- a gearbox configured below the bucket and in mechanical communication with the motor;
- and
- a drying component configured to remove water from the waste food.
A food recycler comprising:
- a case having a case volume;
- a control system;
- a bucket being removable from the food recycler and configured with a bucket volume, wherein a ratio of the bucket volume to the case volume is between 0.0717 and 0.2857 and wherein the bucket is configured to retain waste food during a food recycling process;
- a lid configured to be movable to enable access to the bucket;
- a motor in communication with the control system;
- and
- a gearbox configured in mechanical communication with the motor.
