A recombinant transaminase polypeptide comprising an amino acid at least 95% sequence identical to SEQ ID NO:
- 2 having transaminase activity, wherein the amino acid sequence of the recombinant transaminase polypeptide comprises residue difference as compared to SEQ ID NO:
- 2 at residue positions X62, X69 and X169.
