Airbag device

An airbag device configured to be mounted on a vehicle, the airbag device comprising:

• an airbag configured to be unfolded and inflated from a folded state by flowing inflation gas therein;
• an airbag cover configured to cover the folded airbag;
• and
• a holder configured to hold the airbag and the airbag cover,
• wherein the airbag cover includes:
• a door portion configured to be pushed by the inflating airbag and opened with a hinge portion being used as a rotation center;
• and
• an attachment wall portion provided so as to surround a periphery of the door portion and attached to the holder,
• wherein a functional component is provided on the door portion,
• wherein the functional component is connected to and held by a deformable holding member, and
• wherein the holding member includes:
• a distal side connecting portion provided on a distal end portion side thereof and connected to the functional component;
• a proximal side connecting portion connected to a part which excludes the door portion and the hinge portion and can ensure an attachment strength;
• and
• a deformation portion provided between the distal side connecting portion and the proximal side connecting portion and configured to be deformed to maintain a connection and holding state of the distal side connecting portion with the functional component and to reduce a centrifugal force of the functional component acting on the hinge portion when the airbag is inflated.
