Abstract
A botanical extract that exhibits antioxidant activity, wherein the botanical extract is at least an extract from the genus Anacardium.
Claims7
A composition comprising:
- a botanical extract of the testa of Anacardium occidentale L.,
- wherein the botanical extract has been standardized to a catechin content of about 15.0 w/w % or greater, based on total weight of the extract,
- wherein the botanical extract is present in an amount of about 30.0 μg/mL to about 500.0 μg/mL, and
- a carrier,
- wherein the composition inhibits γ-H2AX activity.
