Claims11
A method for improving the aesthetic appearance of a subject's skin, the method comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound of Formula IIIa, or a dermatologically acceptable salt thereof:
- wherein:
- R10 is selected from the group consisting of H, unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, —C1-3 haloalkyl, halide, —OR13, and CN;
- R11 is selected from the group consisting of unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, —CH2OH, —CH2N(R13b)2, —C1-3 haloalkyl, halide, —OR13, and CN;
- R12 is a substituent attached to the phenyl ring and is independently selected at each occurrence from the group consisting of unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, —CH2OH, —CH2N(R13b)2, —C1-3 haloalkyl, halide, —OR13, and CN;
- each R13 is independently selected from the group consisting of unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, and —C1-3 haloalkyl;
- each R13b is independently selected from the group consisting of H and unsubstituted —C1-3 alkyl;
- and
- each q is 0 to 5.
A method for improving the aesthetic appearance of a subject's skin, the method comprising administering to skin an effective amount of a cosmetic or dermopharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to Formula IIIa, or a dermatologically acceptable salt thereof:
- wherein:

- R11 is selected from the group consisting of unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, —CH2OH, —CH2N(R13b)2, —C1-3 haloalkyl, halide, —OR13, and CN;
- R12 is a substituent attached to the phenyl ring and is independently selected at each occurrence from the group consisting of unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, —CH2OH, —CH2N(R13b)2, —C1-3 haloalkyl, halide, —OR13, and CN;
- each R13 is independently selected from the group consisting of unsubstituted —C1-6 alkyl, and —C1-3 haloalkyl;
- each R13b is independently selected from the group consisting of H and unsubstituted —C1-3 alkyl;
- and
- each q is 0 to 5.
