Abstract
The present invention aims to provide techniques for preparing complexes of a hydrotalcite and a fiber. The complexes of a hydrotalcite and a fiber can be synthesized efficiently by synthesizing the hydrotalcite in an aqueous system in the presence of the fiber.
Claims8
A process for preparing a complex of a hydrotalcite and a cellulose fiber, wherein 60% or more of the surface of the cellulose fiber is covered with the hydrotalcite, and a proportion of hydrotalcite in the complex is 10% or more, comprising synthesizing the hydrotalcite in a solution containing the cellulose fiber, wherein the hydrotalcite is synthesized by:
- (a) immersing the cellulose fiber in an alkaline solution, and then adding an acid solution to the immersed cellulose fiber;
- or
- (b) immersing the cellulose fiber in an acid solution, and then adding an alkaline solution to the immersed cellulose fiber,
- wherein the acid solution contains a divalent metal ion and a trivalent metal ion.
