Analytic data collection for application navigation

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium configured to store instructions that, when executed by a processor included in a computing device, cause the computing device to provide analytic data associated with a navigation of an application on the computing device, by carrying out steps that include:

• detecting a navigation event while displaying a first module of the application;
• displaying a second module of the application in response to the navigation event;
• detecting an analytic event while displaying the second module of the application, wherein the analytic event is associated with a plurality of analytic data types;
• obtaining, for at least one analytic data type of the plurality of analytic data types that matches a respective second application data type associated with the second module, a respective second data object from the second module;
• obtaining, for at least one remaining analytic data type of the plurality of analytic data types that matches a respective first application data type associated with the first module, a respective first data object from the first module;
• and
• generating an analytics payload for the analytic event using the respective first and second data objects.

A computing device configured to provide analytic data associated with a navigation of an application on the computing device, the computing device comprising a processor configured to cause the computing device to carry out steps that include:

• detecting a navigation event while displaying a first module of the application;
• displaying a second module of the application in response to the navigation event;
• detecting an analytic event while displaying the second module of the application, wherein the analytic event is associated with a plurality of analytic data types;
• obtaining, for at least one analytic data type of the plurality of analytic data types that matches a respective second application data type associated with the second module, a respective second data object from the second module;
• obtaining, for at least one remaining analytic data type of the plurality of analytic data types that matches a respective first application data type associated with the first module, a respective first data object from the first module;
• and
• generating an analytics payload for the analytic event using the respective first and second data objects.
