A camera mount comprising:
- a sliding mount component comprising:
- a sliding base;
- protrusions protruding outward from a bottom surface of the sliding base;
- and
- a sliding mount component locking mechanism;
- and
- a rail mount component comprising:
- a rail base;
- and
- a rail mount component locking mechanism;
- wherein the sliding mount component is configured for insertion into the rail mount component;
- and
- wherein the sliding mount component is connected to the rail mount component by the sliding mount component locking mechanism forming a connection with the rail mount component locking mechanism.
A sliding mount component for insertion into a rail mount component, the sliding mount component comprising:
- a sliding base having:
- a first end;
- second end opposite the first end;
- and
- a bottom surface between the first end and the second end;
- protrusions extending from the bottom surface, the protrusions including protrusion holes that are substantially aligned so that the sliding base can be coupled to a lower mount component;
- and
- a sliding mount component locking mechanism.
A sliding mount component that connects to a rail mount component of a camera, the sliding mount component comprising:
- a sliding base configured to be retained on a rail base of the rail mount component, wherein the sliding base comprises:
- protrusions extending from the sliding base;
- and
- divots located in a top surface of the sliding base, wherein the divots correspond to a feature of the rail mount component to lock together the rail mount component and the sliding mount component.
