Acoustic resonance chamber

A system for determining gas characteristics at high altitudes, comprising:

• a balloon having a balloonsat and an air path chamber operably disposed on the balloon, wherein gas at a high altitude can occupy the air path chamber;
• a first speaker disposed within the air path chamber, wherein the first speaker receives an electrical signal input and creates a first sound wave;
• a second speaker disposed opposite the first speaker outside of the air path chamber, wherein the second speaker receives the electrical signal input and creates a second sound wave;
• a vibration sensor operably configured for measuring a vibration difference between the first and the second sound wave;
• an electrical detection and control circuit configured to compute a difference between the electrical signal input and an output of the vibration sensor;
• a third sound wave created by the second speaker using the difference between the electrical signal input and an output of the vibration sensor;
• a difference between the first sound wave and the third sound wave detected by the vibration sensor and configured to minimize vibrations being conducted into the air path chamber;
• and
• a microphone located within the air path chamber opposite the first speaker.

A system for determining gas characteristics at high altitudes, comprising:

• a balloon having a balloonsat and an air path chamber operably disposed on the balloon, wherein gas at a high altitude can occupy the air path chamber;
• first and second speakers operably connected to receive an electrical signal input and create respective first and second sound waves;
• a vibration sensor operably configured for measuring a vibration difference between the first and second sound waves;
• an electrical detection and control circuit configured to compute a difference between the electrical signal input and an output of the vibration sensor;
• a third sound wave created by the second speaker using the difference between the electrical signal input and an output of the vibration sensor;
• and
• a difference between the first sound wave and the third sound wave detected by the vibration sensor and configured to minimize vibrations being conducted into the air path chamber.
